With KHANA, the Southeast Asia Harm Reduction Association (AHRA) had a chance to celebrate Pride Month in Cambodia. Our country liaison trainer (CLT) for Cambodia at KHANA provided a summary of key activities that were highlighted including:

  • Three weekly check-In meetings were held with the Southeast Asian harm reduction association’s CLT team which he attended as scheduled.
  • Conducted country mapping and analysis to identify technical needs and gaps in partner organizations’ harm reduction strategies. Collaborated with community-based organizations (CBOs) actively involved in harm reduction initiatives.
  • Facilitated technical coordination and support to reduce overlapping risks among key populations, such as MSM, TG individuals, sex workers, and their partners across nine provinces. Collaborative efforts were made with implementing partners, NGOs, local authorities, and law enforcement officials to enhance Chemsex HIV prevention services.
  • Provided assistance in organizing Pride Week in nine provinces, targeting MSM and TG individuals. Reached a total of 27,090 individuals, ATS harm reduction, Chemsex awareness and support within these communities.
  • AHRA CLT actively participated in the National Consultative Workshop for the mid-term review of the national strategic plan. Presented KHANA‘s work and priorities, focusing on addressing overlapping risks among key populations, including those involved in Chemsex activities.
