May 30, 2024

On May 30, 2024, the Southeast Asia Harm Reduction Association (AHRA) had the privilege of attending the UNODC ‘Strong Family’ training program held at the IBIS Styles Hotel in Chiang Mai. Organized by the Substance Abuse Academic Foundation (SAAF) with support from UNODC, this hybrid event brought together various stakeholders to discuss and promote family skills and effective parenting practices to support families affected by substance use.

Prof. Apinun Aramrattana opened the seminar, setting a positive and engaging tone for the day’s sessions. AHRA was pleased to assist in the registration process, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for all participants. The training focused on strengthening family bonds and implementing evidence-based practices to support those struggling with substance use.

We would like to extend our gratitude to the SAAF team for facilitating our participation and for their continuous support in our harm reduction efforts.

Stay tuned for more updates on our activities and initiatives aimed at promoting harm reduction and supporting affected communities across Southeast Asia.
