April 9,2025: Advancing Gender Objectives for AHRA’s Technical Assistance

Today, AHRA Secretariat, along with Pascal Tanguay, Shona Schonning, Nick Crofts, Doan Thanh Tung (Light House) organized to continue shaping the gender-focused objectives for technical assistance to AHRA. This session focused on refining our approach to support women, girls, and LGBTI communities within harm reduction frameworks across Southeast Asia.
Key Highlights:
- The group reviewed and refined the gender objectives for AHRA’s technical assistance, focusing on how each objective can support women, girls, and LGBTI communities who use drugs.
- Facilitated discussions centered on identifying key actions that the TA can take to enhance AHRA’s services, including specific support for gender-sensitive harm reduction models.
- The team also discussed practical steps to ensure that gender considerations are embedded in all aspects of AHRA’s future work.
