Counselling and Psycho-social Support

Counselling and psycho-social support services offer a variety of interventions with the goal of providing guidance, support, education, information, aid, referral, and prevention strategies, specifically addressing health concerns like HIV/AIDS. These services are available to individuals who inject or use drugs (PWID/PWUD), as well as their family members and partners.

HTC (HIV Testing and Counselling): Providing counselling before and after HIV testing to support individuals in understanding their test results and addressing emotional and psychological concerns related to HIV.

HIV Counselling (Positive Living): Offering guidance and support to individuals living with HIV, focusing on managing their condition, treatment adherence, disclosure, stigma, and overall well-being.

Family and Partner Counselling (Loss and Grief, Bereavement): Assisting individuals and their loved ones in coping with the emotional impact of losing a family member or partner due to HIV or drug-related issues.

Drug Counseling: Providing counselling services tailored to the specific needs of individuals struggling with drug use, including information on harm reduction, treatment options, relapse prevention, and addressing underlying factors contributing to substance use.

MMT (Methadone Maintenance Treatment) Counseling: Offering support and guidance to individuals undergoing methadone maintenance treatment, including addressing treatment adherence, managing side effects, and addressing any concerns or challenges related to the program.

TB (Tuberculosis) Counseling: Providing education, support, and guidance to individuals diagnosed with tuberculosis, including information on treatment adherence, symptom management, and preventing the spread of the disease.
