Needle and Syringe Program (NSP)

A program allowing people who inject drugs (PWID) access to sterile injecting equipment, providing for needle and syringe disposal and for the provision of advice and information. NSP may be a fixed site or a mobile outreach service. Needle syringe programs (NSPs) also provide other programs to help PWID to reduce the potential harm of drug use.
