The Community Field Lab for Stimulant Harm Reduction (CFLASH) workshop held in Hanoi, Vietnam in May 2023 was a resounding success:

  • Organized by the Center for Supporting Community Development Initiatives (SCDI), a key AHRA steering member, and co-facilitated by the Vietnam Country Liaison Trainer.
  • The workshop received support from The Times and Mainline Foundation, ensuring its comprehensive and impactful content.
  • With 15 participants in attendance, the workshop boasted international representation, including individuals from Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Nepal, Indonesia, the Philippines, Cambodia, and Malaysia.
  • The workshop focused on CFLASH’s objectives and covered a wide range of topics, including programming for Amphetamine-Type Stimulant (ATS) users, harm reduction strategies, community-based mental health interventions, best practices for working with ATS users, and interventions targeting chemsex.

AHRA’s commitment to supporting productive workshops like CFLASH highlights our dedication to advancing stimulant harm reduction efforts. By bringing together diverse participants and experts, SCDI, as a critical partner of AHRA did foster collaboration and knowledge sharing to tackle the unique challenges posed by ATS use, ultimately making a positive impact on communities across the region.
